Stacey Capp

Welcome! As you already know, I’m Stacey, but let’s take a deeper dive…

I went to Robert Morris University where I had the privilege of being a student-athlete. During my time there I majored in Media Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in business— all while competing on the Division I softball team. Whenever there was a break from the action, I spent my time interning as a junior designer at AMPD Group, an entertainment and hospitality management company located in the heart of Pittsburgh’s infamously fun South Side. This opportunity was huge for me…Getting to apply skills in a real-world, high-demand environment was integral to my growth and gave me a feel for what the world had in store for me.

After graduating in May of 2017, I secured an entry level position as a production designer with Team Velocity, located in the Greater Metro D.C. area. Hungry to learn and gain more responsibility, I found myself advancing from a production designer to a creative designer on our Full-Service marketing team. This next adventure gave me some insight on how demanding, fast-paced, and at times stressful, the advertising world could be…But it also conditioned me and built a new sense of confidence in my abilities. After another year, I earned my way onto our Corporate Marketing team, working directly under the organization’s art director. Today, a little over 4 years since beginning my trek at Team V, I’m happy to say that I’m a Senior Graphic Designer and eager to keep forging ahead.

In closing…Throughout my time studying and practicing art/design, three main ideas have continuously resurfaced and have proven to be true in many facets of my life:

  • When you put heart and hard work into something, it shows.

  • The person who does the little things right the most, is bound for success.

  • Everyone is a critic, but none of them are quite like the one you see in the mirror.
